Bok hosts events and community groups nearly every day of the year. From yearly events like Open Studios, to parties and fundraisers that bring people together, there is no shortage of exciting events at Bok!
open studios
Open Studios happens twice a year, where all 9 floors of the Bok building open for visitors to explore our hallways and meet our community! Always free and family friendly, you can shop, engage, and sip with artists, makers, and businesses based here at Bok. Plan to make a night of it and make a reservation at Irwin’s or head up to Bok Bar afterwards.

Our take on the classic summer-in-the-city block party, the B[L]OK Party brings the neighborhood together to celebrate all things BOK and South Philly. Now in its 7th year, this highly anticipated event attracts hundreds of families to take part in the festivities — and of course get in a few jumps in the bounce house!

Voted one of the best views in Philadelphia, our all-outdoor 8th floor terrace has unparalleled views of the city, from West Philly to New Jersey. The scenic city skyline and sunset corner make the best backdrop to any gathering, plus enjoy our built-in bar program, seasonal landscaping, funky furniture, and colorful aesthetic of South Philly’s favorite rooftop.
Also serving as our beloved Bok Bar, the 8th floor terrace is only available Mondays and Tuesdays April - October.

Looking for a unique and memorable space for your next event? Our Auditorium hosts 1,000 tiered seats and a proscenium stage on the first floor of Bok, built in 1938. In keeping with the Art Deco style of the 340,000 square foot building, the auditorium is a spacious and ornate facility currently being preserved and repurposed as a screening room and dramatic event space in the heart of South Philadelphia.

Our West Gym sits on the first floor of Bok, where the former gymnasium has been repurposed to host a variety of events under the glimmer of a gigantic disco ball. The spacious floor plan and nearby catering kitchen allows for fully custom events. Come dance the night away, gather with creatives, or shoot some hoops – the possibilities are limitless in this one-of-a-kind venue space.

Formerly the auto machine shop at Bok Tech, the Workshop is a semi-private event space located adjacent to the retail corridor of the building furnished with seating, tables, and a beautiful patina of a reconstructed auto garage turned into a gathering space shared with Machine Shop Bakery.
