We’re now halfway through Le Bok Fin’s run, with 3 weeks down and 3 more to go. Despite Scout only got the keys on July 7th, 2015, we were able to open Le Bok Fin on August 7th, 2015. It was always our vision to try to do something quickly and early to allow people to see a part of the building and to get excited about our long term vision.
Le Bok Fin is a members-only event on the 8th floor terrace taking place over 24 nights over the summer of 2015. Its name comes from the original culinary training kitchen on the 3rd Floor of Bok which was called Le Bok Fin (you can see the original sign in our 8th Floor Lobby). The students at Bok Vocational High School came up with the name as a play on the Michellin-star restaurant Le Bec Fin located in Rittenhouse in the mid 80s. Much of what is used on the roof—the tables, stools, and chairs—was repurposed from the building.
We hope you’ll take the opportunity before closing on September 13th to come up and take in the unprecedented views of the city skyline. Visit here to see all of Le Bok Fin’s events.
